LandWorks was retained by The Retrovest Companies as part of the South Village Team to develop a New Urbanist conservation based community. The team includes architects, landscape architects, planners, graphic designers, civil engineers, transportation consultants, wildlife consultants, ecologists and agricultural partners. The design for South Village emphasizes the use of native vegetation in its landscape design and ecological restoration activities. Our scope of work has included landscape restoration, landscape architecture, streetscape design and site planning for the school location and the trail network. LandWorks also developed the South Village Community Land Management Plan for the use, preservation, restoration, and management for all the open spaces in the community. LandWorks is currently working on LEED certified approaches to site development and landscape architecture that incorporates green design standards and intitiatives.
